The Long Haul

After pondering being in things for the long haul while making coffee, I sat down and this is the first thing that pops up on Facebook. 6 years ago, Barbara and I had our LLC and we were trying to figure out how in the heck we were going to finance our new venture.

I JUST thinking that to succeed in anything worth while it takes a determined, dedicated and patient person that is in it to win it. In it for the long haul which is full of joy, celebrations, set backs, tears, laughter, and being humbled beyond your wildest dreams.

But the good part is the more you work at it the stronger and more tolerant you become towards all those awkward moments of fear, tears and general feeling of being the stupidest, untalented, laziest, worthless person on earth. Yeah, ALL that goes through my head and sometimes on a daily basis. Luckily though as you build that muscle of courage you begin to see that there are and always will be things that set you back but in order to persevere you have to keep at it. Keep on keepin on.

Today we are hosting a fundraiser forWillie Sketch Burnam who was paralyzed form the chest down 6 years ago and was told he would never walk again.

Look at him standing there! Yes, he still has a ways to go, yes he has good days and bad but LOOK at him!

Barbara has set up a fundraising page HERE  and a fabulous raffle that is happening at The Creative Wedge today. He is an inspiration to many and I am grateful to be a part of this event.

So anyways aaaalllll that being said, to get to the end of the rainbow you have to practice, work, ask for help, accept the help, and be willing to be humble. You cannot give up…ever.
